New Arrivals

ZMAX SOLID® is a monolithic zirconia crown, bridge, screw-retained implant crown, inlay or onlay with no porcelain overlay, intended to provide a durable and more esthetic alternative to posterior metal occlusal PFMs or cast gold restorations for demanding situations like bruxers, implant restorations and areas with limited occlusal space, ZMAX SOLID® restorations exhibit translucency and color similar to natural dentition; with the complete color penetration all the way through the restorations ensures greater shade consistency and prevents any shade changes after occlusal adjustment.

A reoccurring issue in our professional circles is the question whether solid, full-contour Zirconia crowns are at all indicated in the view of aesthetics, abrasion characteristics, compatibility and strength. Can we recommend them to our patients? As far as (full-anatomical-contour) solid Zirconia restorations are concerned, we all agree that a special translucent Zirconia material is needed first. For this reason we use the highly translucent Prettau® Zirconia blocks from Zirkonzahn® which are used in conjunction with a specialized colouring technique that eliminates the use of veneer ceramics entirely. In this way, aesthetically pleasing solid/full-Zirconia restorations can be realized.

Designed and milled using CAD/CAM technology, ZMAX SOLID® is sintered for 7.20 hours at 1,500 degrees Celsius to achieve optimum strength. The final ZMAX SOLID crown or bridge is then glazed to a smooth surface.

ZMAX SOLID® Zirconia is indicated for crowns, bridges, implants, inlays and onlays. It is an esthetic alternative to PFM metal occlusal/lingual or full-cast restorations. The chip proof durability of ZMAX SOLID® is ideal for bruxers who have broken natural teeth or previous PFM restorations. ZMAX SOLID® is also ideal when the patient lacks the preparation space for a PFM.

• Chip-resistant, as it is made of solid zirconia with no
   porcelain overlay.
• Glazed to a smooth surface to reduce plaque
